The municipality of Parisville, cradled by its rich agricultural land, benefits from its dynamic, committed and welcoming population.

Founded in 1901, this small single-industry municipality, with a population of just under 530, is located a few steps from the St. Lawrence River and is easily accessible via the Jean-Lesage highway.

Its territory of approximately 37 km2, where the economy is almost entirely based on agriculture, includes several diversified crop enterprises, such as dairy farms.
The railroad, which was inaugurated at the end of the 20th century, is a bastion of rural development and is at the heart of the foundation of the parish of Parisville.

To preserve its important symbolism, the municipality inaugurated in 1995 a magnificent multi-functional linear park, more than 25 years after the railroad stopped its activities. Built on the former railroad right-of-way, this linear park is made up of a little more than 12 km of multifunctional track, including 5 km paved, facilitating the practice of in-line skating.

This multifunctional trail can safely accommodate pedestrians, cyclists and off-road vehicles and will allow you to enjoy the fresh air in the heart of the village and, why not, visit neighbouring municipalities. Picnic areas, accessible at all times, will allow you to take a well-deserved break, just a few steps away from our railway-themed facilities.

Let yourself be tempted and come and take a walk on the trail, winter or summer. You can see deer and wild turkeys. A few km from the marina and beach, and the CLSC.
